Anne Kim is an accomplished flutist who has established herself as a soloist, orchestral player, chamber musician, and flute technician. She has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Stern Auditorium and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Center in New York, as well as the Seoul Arts Center and Seongnam Arts Center in South Korea.

In 2017, as principal flute under the baton of David Alan Miller at the National Orchestral Institute, she recorded John Harbison’s Symphony No. 4. This recording, released in partnership with the NAXOS label as part of the American Classics series, was nominated for “Best Orchestral Performance” at the 2018 GRAMMY Awards.

Anne earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Yonsei University, studying under Juwon Kim, and her Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music under Professor Michael Parloff. She is a prizewinner of numerous competitions, including the American Protégé International Competition, The Music Journal Competition, The Seoul Flute Competition, as well as competitions held by Yonsei University and Suwon University.

Currently, she is an active member of the Melodique, Lumiét, and Primavera Ensembles. She has also worked at Powell Flutes as a Flute Finisher and continues to pursue her passion as a flute technician alongside her musical career.
